Blog Entry: Saturday 12th July 2008, Snodland carnival, Kent UK. Carnival theme, Classic Films, Friends And Bikers Motorcycle Club float The Great Escape. I'm Steve McQueen for the day, with a BSA A10 (OK not the TR6 it should be but close enough for me) scenery painted by Dawn, Sharon and Jan, and the aforementioned ladies dressed as German soldiers. There were twenty floats in the parade, which only lasted about 40 minutes through the town from the school to the community centre and hundreds rather than thousands lining the streets, but what a buzz!! Best bit was getting 2nd place when the floats were judged. I'll post up a photo when I have one.
